Years ago, in Autocad 2017 to be more specific, AutoCAD released a version that surprised us, the ability to convert pdf files to cad lines inside the Autocad program.
And every year, we Autocad users waited for each next version hoping for another big future update.
And because of this, we got discouraged in Autocad 2019, 2020, 2021 versions.
Until today…
Hi I’m Irving, an Autodesk certified, today you have the chance to speak OUT and ask for those commands and FEATURES that can benefit all of us, yes Autodesk is releasing the new Autocad 2022 next month (March)
and because of this, I want to start by telling Autodesk programmers to implement the ability to automatically reload changed xrefs. think about it, why wouldn’t you want your xref to update if something changed? Make this automatic and only notify me that my xref has changed.
I also like to see more options for embedded images. For example, the ability to choose whether an image is inserted as a raster or ole object. Or the ability to Convert Raster Images to OLE, or in other words bind images. All of these options will help us not waste time using other programs to work with images in Autocad.
Another feature I’d like to see in AutoCAD 2022 is the ability to automatically change all text font or style in a drawing at once. Similar to tcase command, but in this case have the existing text styles as options to pick from. We currently can do this only with Autocad macros.
I have so many more requests but this is not about me my friend but about you, to give you a small chance that Autodesk and Autocad owners can hopefully hear what you have to say.
