Let’s make the process of adding and counting objects inside a dynamic block simpler using an array.
In a recent project, I had to design a Walk-in Display Cooler where the client needed an automated way to count the number of doors. Learning this technique can be useful for any of your blocks.
After creating the regular block, I automated the addition of doors by implementing a linear parameter for the cooler’s width. Then, I added an action array to place the doors at regular intervals based on the width parameter. By inserting a text field and using a simple formula to calculate the width of the cooler divided by the width of a single door, my block could accurately determine the number of doors in the array.
